TASP Fantasy Pet Photo Fundraiser

It was Winky who taught us that many pets really prefer NOT to sit on the Easter Bunny’s lap…in fact, some are absolutely terrified of the giant white Pookah! That’s one of the things that prompted the TASP geeks  to come up with an alternative to live characters and traditional photo sets for our pet photo fund raisers.

As good fortune would have it, we came up with  the current method of photographing pets against a blue/green screen, just like the weatherperson stands in front of. We then isolate the pet’s image electronically and through the magic of digital processing, we print it against an entirely different background of the petlover’s choosing. And hence, the TASP Fido Fantasy Pet Photos were born and continue to contribute funds to our local community’s needy pets who need a helping hand.

The Easter photos this month have been well received and alot of  fun to produce. We saw outstanding participation from our community of animal-lovers. This Saturday, TASP volunteers will again be snapping away and creating Easter/Spring themed photos for folks who visit Pet Supplies Plus on Hoosick Road in Troy, from noon till 3PM.

Just to set the record straight, Pet Supplies Plus Corporate sent around a mailer promoting live Easter Bunny and 5×7 photos at all the Pet Supplies Plus franchises. But in our case, at Troy, we will continue our tradition of using digital backgrounds (some including an Easter Bunny) instead of a live human-dressed-as-giant-rabbit. And BTW, our photos are 4”x6” and framed, offered for a $10 donation. For an extra $5, we will also email the photo directly to you so you can make your own copies/calendars/greeting cards/t-shirts, etc. Hope this will avoid confusion and disappointment.
