In Their Words – Shirley & Misty Loo

My name is Shirley. I have a Papillon Misty Loo who is so much more than a pet. She’s my best friend and constant companion.

Recently she was diagnosed with a stone in her bladder that the Veterinarian said was the size she would expect to see in a dog of 55lbs. She was suffering terribly and needed surgery. It broke my heart and as a senior citizen on a fixed income I was frantic with worry not knowing how I was going to pay for it. That’s when Dr. LaMora at Brunswick Veterinary Hospital introduced me to The Animal Support Project, the answer to my many prayers.

Your kindness and generosity allowed Misty Loo to have the operation she so desperately needed. Without your help it would have been very difficult for me to afford. Misty Loo is better every day and getting back to her playful self. She sleeps through the night, has her appetite back and is no longer crying. What a wonderful organization, I will never be able to thank you enough!
Thank you,
Love, Shirley & Misty Loo
